We are SO LUCKY that Ana Cavalheiro has moved to CHARLOTTESVILLE from Los Angeles
she is a true artist
Ana trained at the Ecole du Louvre learning the traditional European way of handcrafting jewelry. Inspired by vibrant colors and traditional Portuguese architecture from her homeland, her designs bring together an appreciation of timeless classics with modern lines.
Seriously I am obsessed with Ana's work
Ana invited me into her new studio next to ARTIFACTS and I was pretty much blown away.
I tried on a ring and it was SO comfortable……then Ana showed me her hands…..she was wearing at least 8 rings……and said " I work in my rings….comfort is a must"
Then it dawned on me…..she CREATED these pieces……designed them like pieces of sculpture and cutomized each piece. She found the stones…knows the stories behind each stone–and from there the process begins…
Valentines Day IS coming up……
a fantastic excuse to get a true piece of art that you can wear everyday
