PASSENGER MANIFEST BY DEAN DASS // Les Yeux du Monde is thrilled to announce ‘Passenger Manifest, an exhibition of new work by Dean Dass opening tomorrow, Saturday, May 4th at @lydmgallery from 4-6pm.
To look at Dass’s art in this show is to find your name on that list of voyagers. Every aspect of Dass’s inspiration and process - what he calls his “constellation of factors” - is present in these new pieces, which collectively represent the cosmic expedition in which we all participate.
Dass has been an integral part of LYDM’s program for nearly forty years and his contributions to the Charlottesville art community, the University of Virginia, and the mid-Atlantic cultural scene during this period have been immense. We hope you can come view this show which is his 12th solo exhibition at LYDM. It is on exhibit through June 30th. After 25 years of fabulousness, Charlottesville women’s boutique, Eloise, is ready for its third chapter!
Eloise was first opened in 1999 by mother-daughter duo, Cyd McClelland and Amy Kolbrener, named after Amy’s favorite childhood book. After 15 years, Audrey Lewis, took over the reins. And while Eloise stayed true to its roots as a dress shop, Audrey made it her own, always keeping an eye on the best emerging designers over the past 10 years. Eloise is feminine, with an edge, and on trend, but not trendy. It is a place where Charlottesville women & UVA students have enjoyed shopping for the past 25 years and we can’t wait to see how new owner, Liz Manson, will carry Eloise into the future!
With more than 20 years’ experience in the women’s clothing industry, Liz knows what it takes to bring luxury goods from concept to closet. Liz is eager to put her mark on @shopeloise . Her vision for the shop is to create an elevated experience, offering expertly curated fashion, unparalleled customer service, and a beautiful space in which each customer feels like the best version of herself.

Spend Saturday, May 4th, perusing dog vendors, enjoying dog agility demonstrations and watching (or participating in) the 2nd Annual Dog Show. This will be a day for the dogs on fabulous historic Main Street in Gordonsville, sponsored by @naturalpetessentials !
